Barton Court is a privately owned Georgian country estate available for a small number of exclusive-use weddings each year. Set in seven acres of its own grounds, on the edge of the village of Colwall in Herefordshire and on the western slopes of the Malvern Hills, it is secluded but not isolated.
It suits couples who want the feeling of hosting in their own home: where guests arrive, settle and stay, rather than attending a venue.
Weddings here unfold over a day or weekend, shaped around generous hospitality, good food and time to savour the occasion.

Weddings at Barton Court are structured around different scales of celebration, with accommodation added into the mix depending on the length and type of wedding. Whether for forty guests midweek or a full estate weekend, the underlying structure remains the same: private use of the house and grounds, clear seasonal pricing, generous hosting, and time arranged around your guests rather than a rigid timetable. Only the scale changes.
CEREMONY AND FIZZ

You may not wish to have a large gathering or a party. If you prefer something more intimate then an elegant, house-led wedding using the Engine Room, the Manor and immediate grounds for the ceremony and celebration drinks afterwards.
Ceremony and Fizz is ideal for couples seeking the beauty and atmosphere of Barton Court to mark a milestone occasion. Celebrations are centred on the house and gardens.

The Midweek Country House Wedding

Sharing your day with just your dearest and closest, rather than having a large affair, gives you the opportunity to spend some quality time with them. The one day option featuring the Manor House, Engine Room and the gardens of the estate allows you to do just that: chat, laugh and celebrate in an intimate way with those you love the best.
Celebrations are centred on the house and gardens, with exclusive use of the estate for the day.

Best suited to intimate guest lists of close family and friends, relaxed celebrations focussing on good times and good food, and couples for whom the setting is of key importance.

The Weekend Country Estate Wedding
Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday · Up to 200 guests on the day · Accommodation and full hosting for up to 40 included · From £22,500
This celebration makes full use of the estate to provide a comprehensive country house wedding, using the house, barns and grounds for a complete weekend celebration - exclusive use of the whole estate, with accommodation in the Manor and the boltholes, and full use of the barns for larger guest numbers up to 100. A marquee can be set up in the Walled Garden should your invitation list stretch to 200.
This includes:
accommodation for up to 26 in The Manor
accommodation for up to 6 in The Coach House
accommodation for up to 4 in The Loose Box
accommodation for 2 in The Clock Tower
accommodation for 2 in The Hayloft
arrival refreshments and a relaxed supper for up to 40 on day one
breakfast and light lunch for up to 40 on day two
ceremony in either the Engine Room or The Saw Mill (depending on numbers)

The Manor House sleeps 26, The Coach House 6, The Loose Box 4, The Clock Tower 2 and The Hayloft 2 - up to 40 guests staying on the estate all weekend.
HOW PLANNING WORKS
All of our weddings are fully hosted - there is no dry hire. Catering is in-house under our chef Felice Tocchini, and drinks are served through our licensed in-house bar. You are free to choose your own florists, photographers, musicians and stylists; all suppliers are asked to provide references and insurance documentation in advance.
We are mostly behind the scenes - but never far away.

Showrounds typically last 45 to 60 minutes and take place by appointment, on weekdays and during quieter periods - generally Wednesdays.
