How the estate can be used

Working sessions can take place in the Dutch Barn or the Saw Mill, or in the principal rooms of the Manor House. The drawing room, dining room and library are regularly used for senior discussions and smaller group sessions. You choose the setting that suits the scale and tone of the work.

For larger groups, dining can take place in the Saw Mill or the Dutch Barn.

Accommodation sits across the Manor House and the adjoining estate buildings, so the working day and the evening can stay connected if that is part of the programme. Equally, the change of scene and pace can be used to recharge.

The spaces are flexible enough to build a layout around your programme rather than the other way round. We are happy to talk the options through when you enquire. This is not a one-size-fits-all situation.

For groups who want something more active in the evening, our chef runs a Hell's Kitchen-style cooking competition in the Saw Mill: competing teams, a chaotic brief, genuinely terrible results and a great deal of laughter. It has become one of the most talked-about parts of a stay.

Working spaces

The barns offer scale, height and flexibility for larger groups and practical sessions. Layouts can be configured for workshop formats, training intensives or collaborative projects. The Dutch Barn seats up to 90 for dinner or 100 to 120 theatre-style; the Old Saw Mill works well as a breakout room, seating 45 to 55 for dining or 20 to 26 boardroom-style.

For smaller or more formal discussions, the principal rooms of the Manor House provide proportion, privacy and architectural presence.

This is not hired conference space. There are no bland corporate walls. The rooms have kept their character while working properly for professional use.

Projector, screen, flipcharts and workshop materials are provided as required, with superfast WiFi throughout the estate.

Accommodation

Accommodation is spread across the Manor House and the adjoining estate buildings, taking the estate to 40 guests in total.

The Manor House sleeps 26 in eleven bedrooms — 26 individual beds, so nobody has to share. Three bedrooms are on the ground floor, one of them with an accessible ensuite shower room.

Bedrooms are individually designed and decorated rather than hotel-standardised, though the fittings are hotel quality. Groups stay on site, so the programme can carry on through shared meals and evening discussion.

Expectations are often exceeded, because the setting is residential rather than commercial.

Location

The estate looks towards the Malvern Hills and sits within enclosed grounds.

The landscape gives scale and perspective. Between sessions, groups can step outside into seven acres of grounds without leaving the estate. The setting is rural but accessible — separation without isolation.

Colwall station is a mile away, with direct trains from London Paddington and Birmingham. Station transfers can be arranged with a little notice.

Formats

Three-day residential offsite. For programmes needing extended use of multiple spaces and full integration of working and residential time.

Two-day residential offsite. A shorter, more focused format that keeps exclusive use and one overnight stay, with structured sessions across two days and a private dinner.

Whatever the length of the booking, the Manor House, barns and grounds remain entirely yours. Teams can move between formal rooms, flexible working spaces and outdoor areas without interruption. That level of privacy lets a programme run without distraction.
