an historic private estate for retreats, meetings and events

Exclusive use for up to 40 guests, on the western slopes of the malvern hills

HOW THE ESTATE WORKS FOR YOU

Barton Court sits where the three counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire meet - a collection of renovated estate buildings clustered around a Georgian manor house.

In private ownership for over a century, it has been restored and is now available to host residential offsites, strategy days, retreats, workshops and private events.

The setting offers seclusion, peace and beauty while remaining easy to reach by road and rail. The renovation has kept the character of the buildings while adding the amenities that professional groups need.

Privacy

All residential groups have exclusive use of the estate for the whole of their stay, so there is no interruption or distraction from other guests on site. Support staff remain discreet and unobtrusive throughout.

There are no shared bookings.

Structure

We discuss your requirements and timetable well in advance so that everything is prepared and in place before you arrive. Rooms, catering and timings are organised by us, which means organisers can concentrate on the work rather than the logistics.

Environment

Environment affects performance. Space, light and quiet improve attention, and people work differently when they are removed from their usual surroundings.

Barton Court sits behind high walls and hedges, in a contained location with wide views over the surrounding countryside. The setting is itself a positive factor in any gathering. With comfortable accommodation and flexible spaces alongside it, this is a place to focus.

The estate

The estate combines architectural character with practical infrastructure.

The Dutch Barn is the main gathering space, seating up to 90 for dinner or 100 to 120 theatre-style. The Saw Mill works as a breakout room, seating 45 to 55 for dining or 20 to 26 boardroom-style. The Manor House is the centre for dining and informal discussion, with a library and sitting rooms for quiet work.

Accommodation for up to 40 guests is available across the manor and the estate cottages. The manor sleeps 26 in eleven bedrooms - 26 individual beds, so nobody has to share. Three bedrooms are on the ground floor, one with an accessible ensuite shower room. A full accommodation schedule is available on request.

Superfast WiFi throughout, projector and screen, around 50 parking spaces and two EV charging points.

Significant investment has been made in environmental sustainability, including biomass heating, solar generation and a borehole water supply.

Food and hospitality

Catering is led by award-winning chef Felice Tocchini, known for his seasonal, ingredient-led approach. Meals are designed to be tasty, generous and nutritious.

Working lunches, private dinners and refreshment service are structured around your agenda.
