Practicalities

  • Children are welcome as part of family stays and private gatherings, and the house works best when there is a balance between adults and children. As a guide, Barton Court is most comfortable with a small number of younger children (typically up to four under the age of ten).

Larger groups with a high ratio of young children to adults can significantly change the atmosphere and practicalities of the house, and are often better suited to more informal, child-focused venues.

  • Yes. Parking is available on site for guests attending stays, gatherings or events.

  • Pet arrangements vary depending on the accommodation and type of booking. Please enquire in advance.

  • We have installed 2 EV chargers on the estate so no need to worry about range anxiety

Sustainability & stewardship

  • Yes. Barton Court is run with long-term stewardship in mind. The estate uses a biomass heating system, solar panels and borehole water, and the land is managed with conservation and biodiversity in mind. These measures are practical rather than performative, and are intended to support the long-term health of the estate.

Larger groups with a high ratio of young children to adults can significantly change the atmosphere and practicalities of the house, and are often better suited to more informal, child-focused venues.
