We understand that this is a difficult time. Our role is to make the practical arrangements straightforward and well managed, so families can focus on being together.
THE SETTING
The main house at Barton Court provides a comfortable and dignified environment for gathering after a funeral or memorial service. Reception rooms can be arranged to suit the size and nature of the occasion, whether guests are seated for refreshments or moving more informally between spaces.
Parking is available on site, and the house is easily accessible for guests of all ages.
Daytime gatherings & timings
Funeral wakes and memorial gatherings at Barton Court are hosted as daytime events.
Access is available from 9.00am, with gatherings typically concluding in the afternoon, depending on individual needs and arrangements.
Catering and drinks
Catering is provided by one of our recommended caterers, all of whom are experienced in hosting funeral wakes and memorial gatherings.
Barton Court is a licensed venue, and drinks are provided and served through our in-house bar. Suitable, low-key arrangements can be discussed.
Pricing
For local families, we offer a dedicated midweek daytime rate for funeral wakes and memorial gatherings held in the main house.

This includes venue hire and staffing. Final arrangements are confirmed following a brief discussion of numbers and requirements.
