TOLKIEN

Named for Tolkien who took the Malvern Hills as the inspiration for the Shire, this is a very special place to stay.

Relax into a 6’ superking bed in this stunning master bedroom which has views of both the hills and the fields.

Furnished with antiques and comfy seating, it offers you plenty of space to unwind after a busy day.

The en ensuite boasts a massive 6’ wide double shower and a lit bateau bath while the loo and second basin are in their own discrete cubicle

The antique Windsor chair is placed to give you the best view of a quintessentially English landscape: serene and bucolic.

Decorated with antique fabrics and furniture, it has a 6’ superking bed and comfortable seating to sink into at the end of a pleasurable day.

The ensuite bathroom is reached by a short flight of internal stairs. There, as well as the loo and basin, you find a slipper bath to soak in as well as a large walk in shower.

HOLST

Imagine waking up to the sound of birdsong in a room inspired by the lyrical music of Gustav Holst, after a good night’s sleep in a superking [6’] bed.

Wake up here and you will be refreshed and ready for a day of fun.

Original early 20th century furniture and artwork provide the atmosphere in a room big enough for 3 people where the day bed doubles as a full sized single bed.

A large walk in shower and a deep bath await in the ensuite which is papered with old music sheets.

ELGAR

Elgar is proof positive that black can be romantic. Softened by beige silk blinds and crisp white linen on the contemporary four poster, this dramatic bedroom is vast but welcoming.

2 day beds sit opposite each other in front of the fireplace to give plenty of seating [or additional sleeping] while an elegant white bath sits in the west facing bay window.

Soak in luxury as the sun sets.

In the ensuite, a walk in generous shower and 2 basins complete the comfort.

BROWNING

You look out of the windows of this ground floor bedroom towards Hope End where Elizabeth Barrett Browning spent a great deal of her time. She was an invalid who, nevertheless, led a rich and full life.

This bedroom is designed to offer comfort, ease and accessibility on the ground floor of the house, making the experience of staying at Barton Court inclusive for those with mobility problems.

The beds are flexible - zip up as s superking or separate as singles and a wheelchair friendly shower room completes the suite.
